An Unabashed Request for Critique

There are three stories that I have started to write, all in various stages. I like them all but can’t stick with one to see it through. I decided to explore why and discovered that I write according to my moods.

When I feel playful I work on Isabel and Gaby. When I feel pensive I write on Ricky. When I feel confident I write on Marian, Sylvia, and Lila. All three stories beg to be told but I can’t focus on one. I wish there was a way to combine all three but they are so different from each other they need to tell their own tale.

I could write them into short stories, but the only one that may lend itself to that is Lila. That could be because I’ve already written a segment of it as a short story and know it can be done, or that I don’t know if I have enough interest in myself to see a novel through to the end. A NOVEL. The word itself promotes anxiety.

The following are snippets from two of them. What do you think?

Thanks to all for commenting. I deleted the stories for obvious reasons.

Good luck with your writings!

I liked your stories. Very creative.

I am currently in the same predicament. I have three different stories at various stages as well and now I added number four.

I really want to finish all of them, but I just don't seem to have the time. Now I write a few pages for the one book, a few for the other and edit the first one, ex. I just love all my stories and characters so much. I can't just abandon the one project to focus solely on just one.

But I will resolve it. Great post

Thanks, Murees. I've decided to tell the first story, through to the end. It's the only way I'll complete the next one. Good luck to you!
